Our Story

We created CharlotteCampers.com because we believe summer camp can change a kid’s life.

Each of us on the founding team has seen it. Whether through our own camp experiences or those of our spouses, we’ve felt the impact of those few special weeks each summer. It’s where kids learn who they are, build confidence, make lifelong friends, and experience just the right kind of independence. For us, those summers weren’t just a break from school — they were a big part of growing up.

Now that we all live in Charlotte, and two of us are raising young kids of our own, we’re thinking a lot about what kind of experiences we want for them. We know we’ll be using this site ourselves in a few short years. That’s why we’re building something we genuinely believe in — a resource that makes it easier for families to discover the best camps in the Charlotte area, with clarity, confidence, and local insight.

With our background in digital media, we’ve worked behind the scenes on some of the biggest content platforms out there. But this is different. This is personal. We’re building something we’d trust as parents — with curated listings, real reviews from local families, and tools that actually make the search process easier.

We’re starting in Charlotte because it’s our home. But our vision is to grow this into a trusted platform for families across the country.
