The flagship ELD (Extended Learning & Development) Summer Academy runs from June through August 2026 with flexible session options, providing a structured environment where children develop academic, social, and personal skills through age and developmentally-appropriate grouping. The program features a strong 1:5 staff-to-student ratio with maximum 8 children per session, ensuring personalized attention and support.
The organization also operates the nationally-recognized iCan Bike Camp, a specialized program that teaches children with disabilities to ride traditional bikes using highly trained coaches, adaptive equipment, and proven methodology. This program aims to build self-esteem, enable peer inclusion, enhance family lifestyle quality, and increase physical activity and cognitive stimulation. Additionally, Autism Charlotte offers year-round programming including Stage One Academy (preschool program), Paths Academy, and ELD after-school programming during the academic school year, providing continuous support and development opportunities for children with autism.
All programs emphasize inclusive, supportive environments with extensive volunteer support (80-100 volunteers per iCan Bike session), individualized attention, and a holistic approach to child development that addresses academic, recreational, social, and physical wellness needs.
