Charlotte Academy of Music offers an exciting array of themed summer camps designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and develop performance skills in young artists. With over a dozen different week-long programs running from June through August, campers can choose from beloved character-themed camps like Camp Bluey, Camp Paw Patrol, and American Girl, as well as Broadway-inspired programs featuring Wicked, Matilda Jr., and Disney Musicals. The camp’s philosophy centers on developing creative thinking, cooperation, confidence, and literacy skills through dramatic musical adventures and hands-on creative arts and crafts. All programs culminate in a family showcase where campers share their crafts, songs, and dramatic skits with loved ones. The Matilda Jr. Mainstage program stands out as a two-week intensive production experience that includes a trip to the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, offering older campers a more advanced theatrical experience. With morning sessions running from 9am-12pm and a consistent $200 per week cost, these camps provide accessible, high-quality arts education for children of all skill levels.
