About This Camp

The Charlotte Chess Center offers premier chess camps designed to elevate young players’ skills through professionally structured programs led by grandmasters and top instructors. As a nationally award-winning chess institute, they provide three distinct camp levels to accommodate every skill level: Junior Master Camp for beginners and unrated players, Master Tour Camp for intermediate rated players, and Junior Elite Camp for advanced players rated 1500-1900. Each full-day program combines intensive chess education with engaging activities, featuring daily rated games, tactical training, instructor-led lessons, and comprehensive game analysis. What sets these camps apart is their commitment to competitive chess development, with games that are both US Chess and FIDE rated, giving participants official tournament experience. The camps utilize a professionally designed curriculum that includes workbooks, tactical warmups, and skill-level appropriate training activities. With multiple convenient locations across the Charlotte area including full-service centers in Charlotte North and South, plus satellite locations in Fort Mill, Wesley Chapel, and Waxhaw, families can access high-quality chess instruction close to home.
