About This Camp

Horse Shadow Run offers an immersive equestrian summer day camp experience where young riders develop both horsemanship skills and lasting bonds with their assigned horses. Located on a beautiful 20-acre facility in Charlotte, NC, campers learn various riding disciplines through engaging group instruction suitable for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced riders. Each camper is paired with their own horse, learning essential skills like grooming, feeding, and general horse care while building confidence in the saddle. Beyond riding instruction, the camp provides a well-rounded experience with scenic trail rides through wooded areas, creative arts and crafts projects, interactive games, and fun activities that keep campers engaged throughout the day. The week culminates in an exciting special performance where campers showcase their newly acquired skills and creatively ‘dress up’ their horses, giving families a chance to see their child’s progress and celebrate their achievements in a memorable way.
