Camp Harrison specializes in nature connection and faith-based reflection, offering activities such as paddleboarding, hiking, mountain biking, archery, aerial courses, animal feeding, beekeeping, and unique Farm to Feast culinary experiences. Camp Thunderbird focuses on water and adventure activities including wakeboarding, sailing, aerial courses, archery, and horseback riding. Day camp programs are available at 13 locations throughout Greater Charlotte and include specialty options such as Classic Day Camp, Preschool Camp, Teen Camp, Outdoor Adventure, Sports Camp, Swim Camp, Arts & STEAM Camp, Dance Camp, and Adaptive Camp for children with diverse abilities.
All programs emphasize social-emotional learning, teambuilding, and peer connection through activities including swimming, sports (soccer, football, basketball), arts and crafts, music, dance, gymnastics, STEAM projects, theater, field trips, and group challenges. The camp provides skill-based swim instruction with safety band assignments (RED, YELLOW, GREEN) and offers scholarships for families with financial need. Three sites are licensed by NC DHHS and accept voucher payments, making quality camp experiences accessible to all families in the Greater Charlotte community.
